The 3Com Baseline Plus Switch 2928 PWR is a managed, enterprise-class Gigabit Ethernet switch with integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE). It offers 24 auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ‑45 copper ports and 4 dedicated SFP fiber uplink ports. With a total PoE budget of up to 365 W, it complies with IEEE 802.3af and supports pre-standard PoE+ (up to 30 W per port) for powering devices such as VoIP phones, wireless access points, and IP cameras. Its switching backplane delivers 56 Gbps capacity and a forwarding rate up to 41.7 Mpps, using store-and-forward architecture. Advanced Layer 2 features include support for 256 VLANs (IEEE 802.1Q), link aggregation (IEEE 802.3ad / LACP), Spanning Tree (STP / RSTP / MSTP), QoS / CoS, and ACLs for traffic control and security.
