IBM FlashSystem 9150 systems are virtualized, NVMe-based, all-flash, software-defined storage solutions designed to unlock the power of your data by combining the latest IBM Spectrum Virtualize, IBM FlashCore, IBM Storage Insights, and IBM FlashSystem 9150 multicoud software technologies. This storage platform uses NVMe-attached drives in the control enclosures to provide significant performance improvements as compared to SAS-attached flash drives. The system also supports two all-Flash SAS-attached expansion enclosure options.
This system consists of the AF8 control enclosure and the SAS extension 9848-AFF. Specific combinations of SAS expansion enclosures are supported based on the capacity of each enclosure
